Lite Straws work like conventional straws, but illuminate like glow sticks. They are made of non-toxic, FDA-approved plastic and contain LEDS and a battery source within one contained unit. A simple push of a button allows one to activate the straw to one of two "blinking" modes or a full light mode. When used intermittently its battery lasts for dozens of hours. In this case, the mountain turns blue when the cold beer enters the glass, and stays blue until the temperature returns to normal.
